During the existence of the Department of Technology baking and pasta production has trained about 4,500 engineers, technicians, and more than 160 candidates of sciences, 9 Doctors of Science. Improving the quality and nutritional value through the application of traditional and non-traditional herbal "ž Optimization of technological operations of bakery, pasta and confectionery;ž Development of information systems for the control of physical and chemical properties, including the rheological characteristics of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, bakery and confectionery industries; ž Cstematizatsiya the use of additives and bread improvers in bakery and pasta ž Innovative technologies confectionery. Under the guidance of an experienced faculty conducted research and development in the field of child and functional nutrition, improved methods of preserving fruits and vegetables, particular attention is paid to the development of new products withporty, therapeutic and preventive, curative power. Department annually produces 4.3 dissertations. The department is engaged in the further development and improving the efficiency of basic, exploratory research and in combination with applied research, is involved in the realization of the target state, sectoral, inter-institutional, scientific, and technicaland innovative programs and projects. Employees of the department are involved in the research: - the development of resource-saving multi-functional products of biotechnology-based innovation complexes modified biopolymer carriers with the original minor nutrients, nrobiotikami, natural antioxidants, creating technology and hardware design for long-term storage (together with Prof. E. Titov I. ) Teachers of the department conduct research in the following areas: 1. Improving the technology of food concentrates for a healthy diet.
